What is TTFB?
Time to first byte is how long the server takes to start responding after the request is sent. It reflects server processing, database work and network distance. Under 200 ms is good.
How is the performance score calculated?
The score combines time to first byte, total download time and the weight of the HTML document. Lighter, faster responses score higher.
Why is the result different from my browser?
The measurement runs from our edge network, not from your device, so it removes your local Wi-Fi and ISP from the equation and shows the server's own performance.
How do I make my website faster?
