What is a public IP address?
It is the address your router presents to the internet. Every site you visit sees it, which is how content is regionalised and how rate limits are applied.
Why is no IPv6 address shown?
Either your ISP has not enabled IPv6 on your line, your router has it disabled, or a VPN is tunnelling IPv4 only. Many networks are still IPv4-only.
How accurate is the location?
It is derived from your IP address, so it usually resolves to your ISP's regional hub rather than your street. It is not GPS-accurate and never should be.
Do you store this information?
