Privacy Policy

Short version: your results stay on your device and we do not build a profile of you.

What we collect

The speed test runs in your browser. To perform a measurement, your device connects to a measurement endpoint, which necessarily sees your IP address and approximate network location, as any web request would. We display that information back to you.

Where results are stored

Test results are written to your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not transmitted to us, and we hold no account or history for you. Clearing site data deletes them permanently.

Cookies and analytics

We use local storage for your language and theme preference. If aggregate analytics are enabled, they are configured to record page views without identifying individual visitors.

Advertising

Advertising placements are reserved across the site. When a display network such as Google AdSense is active, that provider may set its own cookies and use them for ad measurement under its own policy.

Your choices

You can clear your stored results at any time, switch language or theme, and use browser or extension controls to block advertising and analytics scripts. The speed test continues to work either way.

Contact

For privacy questions or a data request, use the contact page. This policy is maintained by the SpeedExact team and is not legal advice; adapt it before commercial deployment.
